Hayden's New Glasses

Hayden gets glasses

We went to the eye doctor about a month ago to follow up on Hayden's amblyopia (lazy eye).  Dr. Carney decided on a treatment plan for the summer to be aggressive.  We are basically putting drops in his good eye (right) to blur his vision in that eye.  This will make him use his lazy eye more and make it stronger.  He also prescribed him with glasses as well.  It took 4 weeks for the glasses to come in.  We picked them up today.  He is not too sure about them.  Hopefully it will be a smooth transition and we can get his eye stronger.

Hayden's Trip to Granna and Pap's

Trip to Granna & Paps

Hayden got to spend the week with Granna & Pap.  It was a huge help for me.  He had a blast.  He got to roller skate in the house and of course swim.  He got to spend some time with Jake also.  They went fishing and went to the waterpark.  Cohen and I went up to Shreveport to pick Hayden up.  Granna took them to the Altitude trampoline park.  They had a blast.

Hayden. Trying out the 4th of July props.

Cohen is 4

Cohen is 4!

Trying this blog thing again.

Since my last post was from 2011, I figured it was about time to start blogging again.  I think it is an awesome way for me to document and remember all these precious moments.  Seeing as how Cohen has never actually made it on here, his birthday seemed fit to start back.

Cohen joined us 4 years ago today at 7:03 AM.  He was a huge baby boy.  He weighed in at 9lbs 4oz. and was 20in long.  He has brought so much joy and laughter to our lives.  He was a great baby.  I have thoroughly enjoyed watching him grow these past four years.  He has the cutest smile (when he will do it) and has the sweetest little raspy voice.

We had a Chuck-E-Cheese Party for him last Saturday.  We are so fortunate to have close family and friends to join us.  He had a blast at his party.  He is in to all things Mario.  He does not play the video game, he just loves the figures.  He had a mario cake and got tons of mario stuff.  He also got a new scooter and a green dune racer.

Ryan cooked him cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  We both sang to him and he blew out a candle.  I then brought mario cupcakes to his class for snacktime.  He loved his birthday hat that Ms. Ximena made for him.  I think it's safe to say that he has had a special day!
